Consultative and Training services from an Occupational Therapist who knows families and communities who seek to include those with diverse-abilities.

Bravo Therapeutic Services provides in-person private consultative and training opportunities to support the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Opportunities are available for 1:1 support sessions for children and/or their extended families. Additional services include sensitivity and preparedness trainings for teachers and support staff, places of worship, emergency service personnel, parks and recreation, private schools, and other community entities. Bravo Therapeutic Services also offers educational workshops on topics related to special needs and consulting for unique projects, such as creating sensory spaces.

Private OT

Providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for your child's abilities in the areas of:

  • FINE MOTOR (dexterity, strength, coordination, handwriting, visual perception)

  • GROSS MOTOR (balance, coordination, core strength, and primitive reflex integration)

  • Executive Function (organization, planning, time management, and study habits)

  • Adaptive/Self-Help (independence with feeding, toileting, hygiene, dressing, and chores)

  • Sensory Processing (ability to interpret, organize, and respond appropriately to smell, taste, sight, sound, touch, proprioceptive, vestibular, and interoceptive stimuli).

Delivering easy to understand and complete evaluation reports for families, that may be shared with educators and other providers of care (at the families discretion). Comprehensive reports will include professional recommendation for accommodations, special considerations in the classroom, and the need for further OT to remediate or compensate for current skill levels. 

Team approach to delivery of skilled OT services. The team consists of the child, therapist, parents, and educators. We work as a team to establish goals that are personalized and meaningful for your child so that you can see the results in the areas that are most important to you. OT remediation visits take place in nontraditional school settings. Sessions are play-based and are incorporated into your child's regular routine in the classroom, on the playground, in the library, or in the lunchroom. OT services at home or in the community will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Consultation

Bravo Therapeutic Services provides consultative services to schools including private, charter, micro, homeschool, etc. Consultation may be in regards to teacher training, building sensory spaces within the school/institution, curriculum recommendations, setting up model classrooms, in-services for staff and parents, among other needs. 

Workshops

Bravo Therapeutic Services provides educational workshops for families and members of the community on background and theories associated with neurodiversity as well as practical techniques and strategies to start at home. Workshops are often requested on topics such as: 

  •  Why won’t my child sit still?

  • Why is my child such a picky eater?

  • Why can’t I potty train my child?

  • Why won’t my child fall asleep and stay asleep?

  • Why is homework such a struggle?

  • What is Sensory Processing Disorder?
